comico 人気マンガが毎日読める漫画(まんが)アプリ: Manga Reading App

comico is a manga reading application by NHN comico Corporation that delivers daily updates of original vertical color comics across a wide range of genres, with many episodes available for free. Designed for smartphone and tablet screens, it uses a scrollable full-color format that makes reading easy with one hand, whether you are commuting or just have a few spare minutes. The app has been around since 2013 and has grown into a sizable library, with more than 600 original works that you will not find elsewhere, plus a selection of comics from other publishers.

For beginners, the main draw is the free reading system. Each day, you can read episodes without paying, and for rental works, a gauge refills over time so you can keep reading at no cost. There is also a rental ticket system that lets you skip the wait. The catalog spans many genres, from romance and fantasy to horror, action, BL, and GL, and new chapters are added on a weekly schedule, with multiple updates happening every day. Popular titles include ReLIFE, How to keep a mummy, and Koe Koi, some of which have been adapted into anime or drama series.

Version 8.4.2, which was released in March 2026, focuses on bug fixes and minor improvements. It is a maintenance update, so the core experience remains the same: a reliable, ad-supported app with in-app purchases for those who want faster access. The app is rated Teen for content, and it requests camera and Wi-Fi connection permissions, which are used for features like scanning QR codes or checking network status. The cumulative downloads in Japan have passed 23 million, and the app currently has over 5 million installs on the platform we track.
